Ella's been in this "teacher" phase recently. She "organizes" our craft time and I have to follow all of her directions. Which, yes, it's very cute- but 30 minutes will pass before she comes up with an idea and by then, I can't sit still any longer! Last night while she was thinking about what we were going to do, I suggested she tell me a story and I'd write it down. This is Ella's story, word for word. (And picture her busy doing her craft, telling me this story).
Once upon a time, there was a princess named Ella. She had long tangley hair. She was wearing a flower dress. She couldn't find her glue so she sat down and had a nice nap.
When she woke up it was her birthday. Then she found her toys and she played with them. Then she wasn't tired for bed.
She didn't listen to her parents. So, then there weren't any more birthdays. And she went back to bed.
When she woke up, she decided to make a present for Grandma and Papa. So, she got out her crayons and colored real fast. She colored all the paper black. And a little red.
She found her glue. And then she layed down to take her nap.
the end.
LOL!! SO funny! She was actually coloring the paper black, "real fast," and then as an after thought added the red. It was cute how she incorporated what she was actually doing into the story.
