Here's a re-cap of our past couple of days....backwards of course (because I always upload the pictures in the wrong order)
Monday: Ella's very own hand-made valentine's for her classmates. I was smart enough to get her started more than 2 weeks ago...because her 4-year old attention span isn't the greatest. But she made them all...and signed each and every one. (There were about 5 e-mails from parents talking back and forth about struggling with their kids to write their names on their cards. So, I had a proud moment, knowing Ella both made and signed her cards.
Sunday: A february thaw!!! Wow, there's pavement under that snow? And somewhere I heard there's even grass under the big 4-foot piles of snow....
Saturday: Leah and her 3 kids came to stay for the day and night, and Sarri and her 2 kids came over to play during the day, while our hubbies played "snow-ball" (soft ball in the snow) and started "having fun/ partying" at 2pm.
Friday night: Downtown at the Ice Bar. It is an outside bar, literally made out of ice. Our martini's were even in ice glasses. The benches were ice, surrounding fire pits. And a band played over-head in one of the pass-ways between buildings. Pretty cool! Only in MInnesota would you have an ice bar....although I don't know that to be totally true- just what I kept thinking!
